Martin Enger Holm performs the role of Graf Boleslav Zagorsky in Joseph Beer’s operetta Polnische Hochzeit at Staatstheater Regensburg.

Boleslav returns incognito to his Polish homeland, hoping to marry his childhood sweetheart Jadja and reclaim his father’s estate. Instead, he finds himself caught in an elaborate story of mistaken identities, romance and intrigue.

Joseph Beer’s colourful score combines the traditions of Viennese operetta with Polish influences, jazz rhythms and richly melodic writing.
